“We get our bait from two
or three local suppliers.”
“The majority of our bait
comes from a supplier
in south Georgia.”

 What is the most popular fish  caught in your area and which  bait works  best?
“The most frequently caught
fish in our area are bass,
crappie and bream. You
need to use night crawlers.”
“Brown bass is by far
the most popular. Most guys use red wigglers or
something else artificial.”
“Between February and early
May, crappie is the most popular.
Any other time, it’s bass. If you’re
fishing for bass, we recommend
something artificial. And if it’s
crappie you’re trying to catch,
minnows work best.”
 What’s the best fish story you’ve  ever heard?
“The previous owner of the
store caught a 10-pound
bass and we’ve got it
mounted in the store.”
“Ha, they’re all lies.
Fish stories are all lies!”
“People come in bragging all
the time. I’ve heard every fish
story there is, and they’re
all lies.”
 What advice would you give to  first-time fishers?
“Try minnows and
small hooks.”
“Start young.”
